BHS Guidance/Counseling Dept Updates - Week of 6/17/18
All Students - The BHS Counselors are here to help you with questions/ support until Tues June 26. They will be going on vacation (just like you!) for most of July and August. Please reach out to them NOW with any questions or concerns. We wish you the best as you get ready for final exams and summer vacation! Be well, be safe, have fun!
Community Service questions - Please note that BHS will approve community service hours for possible credit only if the experience is locally based (BHS, Town of Brookline and the greater Boston area). Only 50 hours of the overall 200 documented hours needed for 1 BHS credit can be completed before official approval by the BHS Community Service Advisor - Lisa Gaffney ([email protected]). Juniors - IMPORTANT - please drop off your completed Jr Self- Description Questionnaire and your Parent/Guardian's Brag Sheet to your counselor before the last day of school. We are here to help you get ready for post high school plans and applications in Sept and these documents are CRITICAL to us writing a strong and supportive recommendation letter for each of you!
Brookline Adult and Community Education summer offering- * SAT Five-Day Review- Are you planning on taking the SAT exam this fall? Do you need an SAT refresher, including a review of the structure of the exam and test-taking strategies? This five-day SAT course offers a review of the math and verbal section of the exam. We'll answer questions and practice problems together under timed conditions to build your skills and confidence. August 6-10, 2018, 11am-1pm, Brookline High School
* ACT Boot Camp Aug 20-23 9am-12pm at Newton North
