BHS Counseling Dept Weekly Update - Week of March 24, 2025

Welcome Spring… here’s another BHS Counseling Dept Weekly Update for this week.
Many highlights this week include:

• PreACTs (practice ACTs for 10th & 11th graders) are coming to BHS on Saturday April 12 (one date only). Registration starts this Monday 3/24 - Monday 4/7. Here’s the registration form and more details.
  
• Junior Worshops offered by the BHS counseling team -Upcoming mornings of Tues 3/25 and Wed 3/26. Juniors are REQUIRED to attend 2 of these workshops of their choice and can attend up to 4 if desired. See the Update link above for all the info at the top of the update.
  
• Check out the virtual BHS panel this Thurs 3/27 from 6:30-7:30 pm- Students with Learning Differences at the College Level - zoom link here.
  
• Reminder - Quarter 3 ends on April 8.  Coming up fast!
  
• Course request process continues - again, see the top of the above Weekly Update for current steps.
  
• Reminders about College Affordable - FREE collaboration for all BHS Jr and Sr students/families for the financial side of the college process. See the Weekly Update under Junior or Senior sections.
  

** Seniors - College Financial Aid packages are confusing, plus helpful tips on the financial aid appeal process… Get some help with College Affordable.
** Juniors - Get connected now with College Affordable for support along the way. Junior students can attend one of the College Affordable sessions this Tues 3/25 (as part of the Junior Workshops series).
